TV streaming is huge and Apple TV is certainly a part of this growth. As a matter of fact, it is safe to say that it is the future of all TV streaming. Chromecast and Roku offer good packages and services too, but they are far behind Apple TV. And here is why.
STREAMING AND FUTURE
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, once stated that he believes that Applications are the future of TV. Apple TV allows users to stream movies and series from iTunes. In addition, some of the apps available in the App Store are designed to stream content from Hulu, CBS, and Netflix. Apple ensures that all applications get updated on a regular basis.
APPLE TV TO GET BETTER
Not everything is perfect yet. Apple has room for growth and improvement. There is one major feature that is still missing to the Apple TV. That feature is an app for Amazon Prime Video. With Amazon Prime, users can get access to an enormous library of top-of-the-line original TV series. The users hope that this issue will be fixed by Apple soon. Other than that everything else seems to be working fine.
WHAT ABOUT ROKU AND CHROMECAST?
Roku has more content to offer than Apple TV. However, it lacks one major software – iTunes which is not present on Roku yet. It’s not being present on the Chromecast either. In addition, Roku and Chromecast don’t have an app for Amazon Prime Videos. With that said, Apple is surely ahead of its competitors.
STREAMING IS GROWING: KEY PLAYERS
It’s undeniable – TV streaming is growing rapidly. And it seems like APPLE TV, CHROMECAST, and ROKU are not the only monsters on this market. Youtube is ready to fully join the game and become one of the key figures. Let’s see if it happens.
