Are there really controllers for the Apple TV that are better than the elite controller from Xbox One? Well, maybe but you are going to have to read on to find out. Even though it’s not as dominant as a console as the Xbox One is, it does support some pretty great controllers.
5. APPLE TV GAMING CONTROLLER: MAD CATZ MICRO C.T.R.L.I.
The first thing to note about this controller is that it’s a mouthful to pronounce. In all seriousness, though, this is a great compact and portable controller for your Apple TV. All of the buttons respond really well and feel great, but if you have big hands you may not like it.
4. APPLE TV GAMING CONTROLLER: HORI HORIPAD ULTIMATE
This controller is the successor to the original Horipad and has more of a PlayStation feel to it. However, one of the best features of this controller is the implementation of Lightning charging.
3. APPLE TV GAMING CONTROLLER: STEELSERIES STRATUS XL
The premium feel of this controller is really nice, and the analog sticks feel amazing. Yes, it doesn’t have Lightning charging and requires a USB cable for charging. However, I am an old school gamer and non-wireless charging, or controllers for that matter, doesn’t bother me.
2. APPLE TV GAMING CONTROLLER: STEELSERIES NIMBUS
The cream of the crop for the Apple TV is the SteelSeries Nimbus. It really feels like you’re holding a Xbox One controller, besides the parallel analog sticks, of course. This controller does indeed including Lightning charging, and all of the buttons respond tremendously.
1. THE XBOX ONE ELITE CONTROLLER
Did you really think that anything would beat the Xbox One Elite controller? This may be the most durable controller I have ever used, and the several customization options are a great touch. Although the price tag is hefty, this may be the best controller I have ever used. No more words need to be said, and you have to play with this controller to truly appreciate its greatness.
